Autodesk Get Current Promotion Frequently Asked Questions for Customers Whether customers need an upgrade to the latest version of AutoCAD® software, or want to move into Digital Prototyping (DP), Building Information Modeling (BIM), or cutting-edge special effects, there has never been a better time to get the latest Autodesk® 2011 software.
The Get Current promotion offers discounts up to 50% off SRP on select products when customers upgrade from a previous release from May 17, 2010 through July 18, 2010. The offer includes discounts on upgrades (including traditional cross-grades), retroactive Subscription and standard Legacy Program purchases.
New for 2010, customers with Subscription Only products may be eligible to participate in the promotional Legacy pricing for the duration of the Get Current promotion. See the updated Autodesk Legacy Matrix and FAQ for eligibility details.
1. What is the Autodesk Get Current Promotion? For a limited time, from May 17, 2010 through July 18, 2010, the Get Current Promotion offers discounts up to 50% off SRP on select products when customers upgrade from a previous release. The offer includes discounts on upgrades (including traditional crossgrades), retroactive Subscription and Legacy Program purchases and provides additional incentives when moving to higher value suites, Digital Prototyping (DP) and Building Information Modeling (BIM). New for 2010, customers with Subscription Only products may be eligible to participate in the promotional Legacy pricing for the duration of the Get Current promotion. 2. Does the Autodesk Get Current Promotion replace traditional retirement programs? As customers continue to migrate to Autodesk® Subscription as their preferred method of keeping current with Autodesk products, programs have changed to reflect customer purchasing trends. The Autodesk Get Current Promotion represents the evolution of Autodesk’s traditional retirement program, and provides customers with a valuable offer to move to current Autodesk products, or migrate to the appropriate industry solutions or suites.
3. Are upgrades from 2011 versions included in the Get Current Promotion? The focus of the Get Current Promotion is to help customers upgrade their software to the latest 2011 versions. Advertised discounts do not apply to upgrades from 2011 products, (Note: upgrades from 2011 products were formerly known as cross-grades) Autodesk has taken care so that customers upgrading from 2011 versions are not charged higher prices than those taking advantage of the Get Current Promotion. As a result, a number of cross-grades from 2011 versions have been discounted at a variable percentage to match upgrades from prior versions. Where an upgrade from a 2011 product was already less than the Get Current pricing, no discount was applied.
4. Which products are participating in the Autodesk Get Current promotion? The Autodesk Get Current promotion provides discounts on the select products listed in the table below.
Autodesk does not establish the customer purchase price for promotion. Please consult with your local Autodesk Reseller to confirm your actual purchase cost.
Autodesk has taken care so that customers upgrading from 2011 versions are not charged higher prices than those taking advantage of the Get Current promotion. As a result, a number of cross-grades from 2011 versions have been discounted at a variable percentage to match upgrades from prior versions. Where an upgrade from a 2011 product was already less than the Get Current pricing, no discount was applied.
** The Autodesk Legacy program provides customers with eligible products that are version R14 through 2007 a 30% discount off the new seat SRP. Legacy discounts advertised in the Autodesk Get Current promotion are based on the new seat SRP.
5. Is Autodesk Subscription required to receive Get Current pricing? Yes, Autodesk Subscription is required in order to receive promotional pricing under the Autodesk Get Current promotion. Customers with active Subscription contracts in place by May 1, 2010 for the product being upgraded do not need to purchase additional Subscription.
Customers without active subscription contracts on products being, or customers taking advantage of Legacy Program pricing will need to purchase Autodesk Subscription to be eligible for Autodesk Get Current Promotion pricing.

6. Can the Autodesk Get Current promotion be combined with any other offers from Autodesk? No, discounts under this program may not be combined with any other discounts, promotions, or other incentives offered by Autodesk unless specified herein.
7. If I cross-grade to a different product, will I have to pay the difference in Subscription prices on the cross-grade? No. Customers holding either one-year or multi-year Subscription contracts that purchase cross-grades, will automatically have their Subscription contract migrated to the new product at no charge for the remaining months within the remaining Subscription period.
Additional Subscription charges will be applied to the remaining years for any existing multi-year contracts or future renewals.
8. What customers are eligible to participate in the Autodesk Get Current promotion? Autodesk Commercial, Government and Major Accounts are eligible to participate in the Autodesk Get Current promotion. Educational products are not eligible for participation in the Get Current promotion. |
