Announcing NEW Civil
Training Workshops
The
Autodesk civil products – AutoCAD Civil and AutoCAD Civil 3D - are
incredibly powerful platforms for civil engineering and surveying, as
well as tremendous tools for deploying company CAD standards. The most
immediate benefits of their use are better designs and increased
efficiency and productivity. Because design and construction
documentation are dynamically linked, the time needed to evaluate more
alternatives, execute design changes, and produce construction
documentation is reduced significantly. Beyond efficiency and
productivity, these platforms also facilitate visualization, simulation,
and analysis as part of the design process. Unfortunately, many clients
have been slow to implement AutoCAD Civil and/or Civil 3D because of
their seemingly overwhelming complexity. To address this, Graphics
Solution Providers is pleased to announce a series of Civil Training
Workshops.
These workshops are intended to serve
as an effective introduction to the Autodesk civil products, through
short, easy-to-assimilate three-hour sessions. Each workshop focuses on
a particular task, from navigating the product interface, to creating
and managing Surface, Point, Alignment and other data, through Project
Management, and on to more advanced topics such as Creating Corridors
and Site Grading.
These workshops are conducted in person
by John Cooke, who will present and demonstrate how to perform each task
within the civil software. The workshops follow a single representative
surveying and civil engineering project throughout, providing continuity
from session – and task – to session. A workbook is provided for each
workshop, and the class dataset is available for download from the
Internet.
Although not a substitute for hands-on training,
the instructor-lead workshop format provides an opportunity for
interaction with the instructor not attainable through web-based classes
at an affordable cost.
